What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?: Being alone and without regular social contact. To be isolated with just your thoughts to occupy your time.
Where would you like to live?: In a decent sized house in the middle of a lot of land that I use to farm.
What is your idea of earthly happiness?: To be free from financial worries. To be able to pursue my dreams and passions to their fullest extent. To love my wife to the best of my ability.
To what faults do you feel most indulgent?: My loneliness and the depression that I so easily fall into.
Who are your favorite heroes of fiction?: The good guy who goes through long struggle and sacrifice to achieve his goal. The guy who gets what he wants.
Who are your favorite characters in history?: Robert E. Lee, Thedore Roosevelt
Who are your favorite heroines in real life?: The women who keep families together no matter the circumstances.
Who are your favorite heroines of fiction?: The ones who are independent, yet work well with the men in their lives.
