What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?: Indecision.
Where would you like to live?: Somewhere comfortable and messy that is all my own.
What is your idea of earthly happiness?: Being with people who inspire laughter and debate.
To what faults do you feel most indulgent?: Obessesive behavior. Too much or too little, never wanting to be in-between.
Who are your favorite heroes of fiction?: Ones who stand up for what they believe is right and don't care if what they say is populist. George Bailey (It's A Wonderful Life) and Neville Longbottom (Harry Potter) come to mind.
Who are your favorite characters in history?: Decartes, Dylan Thomas, Vivien Leigh.
Who are your favorite heroines in real life?: Those who are themselves above being polite.
Who are your favorite heroines of fiction?: Jane Eyre, Scarlett O'Hara.
Your favorite painter?: Turner. Or Tracey Eminent (not a painter but an artist).
