Comments - Intriguing scene of a gathering of men and beauties relaxing with pipes and refreshments, giant bails piled in the background. Great detail in the kimono fabrics and accessories. A handsome original 19th century print.

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Small holes and thinning spots, losses at edges. Light soiling, creasing, and rubbing, slight fraying at edges. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.

Details of the Clearance - These are all original Japanese woodblock prints or old woodblock reprints (clearly marked as such). Every print is a wood block printed Japanese print. No machine prints or anything of that sort.

In order to offer these prints so inexpensively we cannot identify and describe each print in detail. We have to let the photos do the talking. Unique to each auction are three photos (front, detail and reverse), artist identification (if we have that), short comments and a brief condition report. If we are offering specific details about the print, you'll find that in the comments section. Some prints will have the artists identified, others will not. All of our woodblock prints are printed from wood blocks produced by hand. We do not sell Japanese prints made by any other process.

Why on sale? These original antique prints are normally sold at prices much higher than $29.99. So what’s up? We’re clearing out overstock - some have condition issues, others we’re just ready to get rid of. In any case, you’re the winner! As for condition; please have a look at the photos and read the condition report. Some of the condition issues can be framed out, some collectors repair these prints, and others just enjoy owning a 19th century original. On the other hand, some are in excellent condition, we're just clearing them out, and you take advantage of these deals!
